Showbiz Scheduling How To Install
| WINDOWS XP, VISTA, 7 INSTRUCTIONS: NOTE: there are two types of installation NEW and UPGRADE. Please read the following before installing. |

| WINDOWS New: | |
| 1. | Click the "WIN DEMO" link and download the file. NOTE: Saving to your desktop is the easiest way to find the file. Windows may save the file to Documents\Downloads. |
| 2. | On your desktop (or wherever you saved), double-click “DEMO_Showbiz_Scheduling_WIN.exe" file and follow the on-screen installation instructions. |
| 3. | Double-click the file and follow the installation instructions (use defaults). |
| 4. | Once installed, run the program from the new green slate icon to start the program. NOTE: sometimes Windows Vista or 7 do not create a desktop icon. An alternate way to open the program is by clicking, Start > All Programs (or Search programs and files) > Showbiz Software > Showbiz Scheduling. |
| 5. | Windows Showbiz Scheduling may not find the main data file by default. If your computer asks you where the file is, point Windows to the following directory/file: C:\Showbiz Software\Showbiz Scheduling\Showbiz Scheduling.4DD. |
| 6. | You only have to do this once and the program will open normally from now on. The multiple files which compose Showbiz Scheduling should be stored in the same folder for easy reference. |
| 7. | This product will requires activation. Please see "Registering and Activating" section below. |
| WINDOWS Upgrade: WARNING: DO NOT USE THE DEMO INSTALLATION AND WRITE OVER YOUR DATA FILES (.4DD and .4DR), They do not need to be changed and replacing them will cause you to lose your data. |

| 1. | You will only need to replace the application file when program upgrades are released. Use ONLY the UPGRADE version as they do not contain the data files (.4DD and .4DR). These will be retained from your previously installed version. |
| 2. | Click the "WIN UPGRADE" link and download the file. NOTE: Saving to your desktop is the easiest way to find the file. Windows may save the file to Documents\Downloads. |
| 3. | On your desktop (or wherever you saved), double-click “UPGRADE_Showbiz_Scheduling_WIN.exe" file and follow the on-screen installation instructions. |

| MAC New: | |
| 1. | Click on the "MAC DEMO" link and download the file. By default, downloaded files save to your Download folder (Users\<your user name>\Downloads). |
| 2. | In your downloads folder (or wherever you saved), double-click the file “DEMO_Showbiz_Scheduling_MAC.dmg." The installer will mount to your desktop and display an installation window. |
| 3. | Follow the on-screen instructions and drag the Showbiz Scheduling folder to Applications. |
| 4. | Double-click on Showbiz Scheduling.app icon (green slate) to start the program. |
| 5. | Showbiz Scheduling is composed of three main files: the program file and the two data files (.4DD and .4DR). You should keep these files in the same folder for easy reference. |
| 6. | This product will requires activation. Please see "Registering and Activating" section below. |

| 3. | In your Downloads folder (or wherever you saved), double-click on the file called “UPGRADE_Showbiz_Scheduling_MAC.dmg.” This will mount to your desktop and an installation window will be displayed. |
| 4. | Follow the on-screen instructions and drag the Showbiz Scheduling app update to the Showbiz Scheduling folder and replace the existing file of that name. All your data will be retained. |
| 5. | Depending on your upgrade version, you may not have to re-activate. If the program opens and does not display the registration dialog, you are all set. |
| BACKING UP YOUR DATA: | |
| In the interests of “safe computing,” it's always a good idea to backup your data files to protect them from random corruption or accidental deletion. We strongly recommend an external backup solution. However, simply copying your .4DD and .4DR data files to another drive after you’ve completed your latest changes should suffice. | |
| REGISTERING AND ACTIVATING: | |
Showbiz Scheduling features a free trial period of 30 days. To activate the application at any time, click on the "Register" button when the trial message appears after startup. To obtain an unlock code, register your software. |
